FAQ
Questions fréquentes sur ce tour
How much does the half-day snorkeling tour cost?
The half-day snorkeling excursion costs €89 per person. This includes 4 hours on the water, visits to two snorkeling sites, a marine biologist guide who enters the water with you, full equipment, boat transfers, and water and snacks between sites.
What makes this different from a regular snorkeling trip?
This excursion is led by a professional marine biologist who swims alongside you in the water — not just a boat captain. They identify species in real-time, explain the ecosystem, and point out marine life you might otherwise miss. It's an educational experience as much as a recreational one.
What marine life will I see?
The Punta Campanella Marine Protected Area hosts approximately 260 species. Common sightings include damselfish, sea bream, scorpion fish, sea urchins, starfish, and seahorses in the Posidonia seagrass meadows. Occasional encounters with tuna, barracuda schools, and — in season — dolphins and sea turtles.
Is this suitable for families and children?
Absolutely. No certification or prior experience is needed — just the ability to swim. Buoyancy vests are provided if needed. Children are welcome, and the marine biologist tailors the experience to all ages and ability levels.
What time does it start and where do we meet?
Departure is at 08:00 from Marina Grande 186, Sorrento. The excursion lasts about 4 hours, returning by noon. We recommend arriving 15 minutes early for equipment fitting.
What's included and what should I bring?
Included: full snorkeling equipment (mask, fins, wetsuit), buoyancy vest if needed, marine biologist guide, boat transfer to two sites, water and snacks. Bring: swimsuit (worn under wetsuit), towel, sunscreen, and seasickness medication if you're prone to motion sickness.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Free cancellation up to 48 hours before departure. If conditions are unsuitable on the day, the center will reschedule or offer a full refund. The dive master selects sites daily based on sea conditions to ensure the best experience.
