FAQ
The Sunset Snorkeling with torches costs €79 per person. This includes full snorkeling equipment, underwater torches, PADI instructor guide, boat transfer, refreshments onboard, and a professional skipper.
This is one of the only snorkeling experiences on the Sorrento coast that transitions from daylight to darkness. You start snorkeling at sunset, then switch on underwater torches to explore the nocturnal marine world — revealing species and behaviors that are completely invisible during daytime. The atmosphere of snorkeling under the stars along the Punta Campanella cliffs is unforgettable.
Check-in is at 18:30 at the dive center in Marina Grande 186, Sorrento. The experience lasts approximately 2.5 hours, returning to Marina Grande around 21:00 under the stars. Timing adjusts slightly through the season to match sunset.
As darkness falls, different species emerge. Using underwater torches, you'll observe nocturnal fish, crustaceans, and invertebrates that hide during the day. The beam of your torch also illuminates the bioluminescence in the water and the hidden details of the limestone caves and archaeological features along the cliffs.
No certification is required. You just need to be able to swim. A PADI instructor accompanies the group throughout, providing safety briefing and guidance on torch use. The experience is suitable for families, though it's recommended for confident swimmers due to the nighttime conditions.
Just a swimsuit (worn under the wetsuit) and a towel. All equipment including snorkeling gear, wetsuits, and underwater torches is provided. Refreshments are served onboard.
Free cancellation up to 48 hours before departure. Weather-dependent — if conditions are not suitable, the center will reschedule to another evening or offer a full refund.
