About this tour
The two cities destroyed by Vesuvius in AD 79, on the same day, with the same private licensed guide. In the morning Pompeii, with its Forum, houses and amphitheatre; in the afternoon Herculaneum, smaller and astonishingly intact, with wooden upper floors and its ancient shoreline. Travel between the two sites is up to you (about 20 minutes; private driver available on our tours). On 23, 24, 25 and 31 December and 1 January the guide's rate is 50% higher.
